IN THIS LESSON

Find your neighbourhood, not someone else’s.

The best place to live isn't on Instagram. It's the street where you feel local, not like a tourist with a long-term lease. Oosterpark, London Fields, or Belleville - we cut through the noise and help you find the place that actually fits.

    “Build your dream home.”

This is the exciting part. Forget expat bubbles and tourist traps. Don’t fall for Instagram tropes, you don’t need Eiffel Tower views: you just need to feel local in a friendly neighbourhood.

“An interesting perspective from the Danish Architecture Center., the 15-minute city. In a world where connections are lost, discover village life in your new city. Ditch the car, stay local, and build community in a walkable radius.”

    A Word About Gentrification

From Lisbon to CDMX, locals are up in arms against the gentrification of lower income neighbourhoods. You can’t undo your NYC salary but think of yourself as being part of a city that existed before you. Understand its story and rhythm, and add to its strength. Consider spending choices. Matcha bars or family businesses? Join the conversation, and become part of the city’s evolution, not its problem.

ps. You can still drink matcha latte!

    Location, Location, Location

With that said, we had fun asking the Sunny Future network about their preferred neighbourhoods, the ones you don’t see on insta. This is just a teaser, don’t take it seriously. Just ask us for tips.

    • Draw your 15-minute city list:

    • Expat/local ratio, green spaces, cultural venues, kindergarten, food market, yoga studio, queer life, dog friendliness, bakery, airport access. You name it.

    • Manifest your perfect location, shortlist, asking around you (make AI your friend). Stack rank.

    • How will you build community without displacing locals?

    • Access our resources, playbooks, and AI learnings.

    • We know everything, with lists covering 100+ cities. Talk to us before signing up that lease.

    • Work with our coaches and leverage the Sunny Future network.
